THeodoros Karakasidis

Theodoros Karakasidis is an Assistant Professor of "Applied Physics" at the School of Engineering of the University of Thessaly, where he teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. He graduated from the Department of Physics at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 1989, obtained a D.E.A. in Materials Science in 1991, and subsequently earned a Ph.D. in Physics in 1995 from Pierre and Marie Curie University (France). He has also pursued postgraduate studies in Science Education and Adult Education. During his stay in France, he worked at the Atomic Energy Commission (Saclay Nuclear Research Center) and at the Ecole Polytechnique. His research work spans topics in computational materials science, nanotechnology, dynamical systems, chaos, time series analysis, as well as science and technology education. His work has been published in prestigious international scientific journals and in the proceedings of international and national conferences, where he has also delivered invited talks. He serves as a reviewer and is a member of scientific committees for reputable international scientific journals.
