Howard Schwartz

Howard Schwartz was born in 1945 in St. Louis, Missouri. Among other accolades, he has been awarded the international Koret Jewish Book Award for his children's book "Before You Were Born," and the American National Jewish Book Award (2005) for his book "Tree of Souls: The Mythology of Judaism," a comprehensive guide to midrashic (interpretative) texts of biblical narratives.
