Giorgos Georgakopoulos

George Georgakopoulos was born in Athens in 1964. He attended the German School of Athens and studied at the HBK Braunschweig School of Fine Arts from 1983 to 1989. He completed his postgraduate studies as a Meisterschueler at the same institution from 1989 to 1990. In 1995, he founded CheapArt in Athens with Dimitris Georgakopoulos, which they continue to manage, organizing exhibitions at the venue. Since 1997, he has been teaching at the Mokume Jewelry Vocational Training Institute. In 1999, the board game cheapart was released on the market. In 2008, he co-founded The Art Foundation, an artistic organization and gallery, in Athens with Charalampos Dermatis. From 1995 to the present, he has participated in numerous exhibitions in Greece, France, Spain, Austria, and Germany.
