Eleni Kyramargiou

Eleni Kyramargiou is a historian and postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Historical Research of the National Hellenic Research Foundation. In October 2015, she defended her doctoral dissertation at the Department of Social Anthropology and History of the University of the Aegean, focusing on the residential and social structure of the Drapetsona settlement from 1922 to 1967. From 2017 to 2019, she was a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute for Mediterranean Studies of the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas, where she studied the history of the shipbuilding and ship repair industry in the 20th century. She has worked on research projects at the Institute of Historical Research of the National Hellenic Research Foundation and the National Literary and Historical Archive. Her research focuses on issues of refugee settlement and industrial history. She is the author of the book "Drapetsona 1922-1967: A World on the Edge of the World," and her articles have been published in both academic and non-academic journals.
