Triantafyllos H. Kotopoulos is a Professor of "Creative Writing and Modern Greek Literature," Director, and Scientific Supervisor of the Joint Inter-University Postgraduate Program in "Creative Writing" (University of Western Macedonia - Aristotle University of Thessaloniki) and the Joint Inter-University Postgraduate Program in "Creative Writing" (Hellenic Open University - University of Western Macedonia), the latter utilizing Open and Distance Learning methods. He holds a degree and a Ph.D. in Modern Greek Philology from the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Ioannina. His writing and research interests focus on the study and teaching of Creative Writing, Modern Greek Literature, and Literary Theory. He has published eight (8) academic books, including "Mimis Souliotis, the Poet of Moments and Words" (Gutenberg 2020), "Talking about Art, Culture, Creative Writing... with Thanos Mikroutsikos" (Patakis 2017), "Thessaloniki in the Works of Thessalonian Prose Writers" (Kodikas 2006, Epikentro 2013), "Setting - Characters - Plot" (Ion 2011), "The Half-Siblings: Studies on Children's, Youth, and Adult Literature" (Ion 2012), "Creative Writing in Kindergarten" (Epikentro 2013), and "Adaptations of Curricula for Language Lessons in High School: Interdisciplinary Framework and Teaching Plans" Vol. A and B (Ministry of Education - Pedagogical Institute 2008). More than one hundred (100) of his articles have been included in collective volumes, Greek and international scientific journals, and international conference proceedings. He has organized four (4) international "Creative Writing" conferences, edited book publications and collective volumes, and participated in various research programs. He is a member of cultural organizations and international societies, the scientific supervisor of the Patras World Poetry Festival and the Culture Book website, president of the "Jean Moreas" poetry awards committee, and responsible for publishing the electronic magazine LEXItanil. He unreservedly prioritizes his role as a founding member of the cultural group of the Panhellenic Association of Paraplegics - Northern Greece branch. His works include five (5) poetry collections: "Portolanos" (Paratiritis 1999), "Edouardoi and Alfredoi" (Mandragoras 2012), "Upper Stops and Such" (Mandragoras 2013), "Buoys" (Digamma 2015), "The 40, Old, Churches" (Mandragoras 2020), and one (1) short story collection: "A Novella in 11 Small and Large Stories" (Grafomichani 2015). He has written lyrics (and his poems have been set to music) for the CD "Clear Writing" (Metronomos 2016). He has organized, scientifically curated, and presented two (2) television programs on the art of writing: i. "Digamma" on ERT3 (2016-2017, 18 episodes) and ii. "Clear Writing" on ERT2 (2019, 12 episodes).
