CHristos G. Papadopoulos

Christos G. Papadopoulos was born in Thessaloniki. He studied Pedagogy and furthered his education in Special Education and Teaching Greek as a Foreign Language, while he is soon to complete his postgraduate studies in Creative Writing. He works as a teacher. Since 2007, he has been living in Cairo, and since 2010, he has been the director of the Greek Cultural Center in Cairo. In parallel, he is involved in songwriting, poetry, and writing. His works have been published in print and online literary magazines. He has been recognized in notable competitions: First Prize in the Thessaloniki Song Festival in 1993, First Prize in the short story competition of the Panhellenic Union of Writers in 2005, and First Prize in poetry from the Macedonian Art Society and the Ministry of Culture for an unpublished poetry collection in 2007, among others. He has recorded approximately 100 songs: "Songs for Small Weeks," "Songs of the Lost Poet," "The Dragon's Wing," among others, with esteemed collaborators.
