John Davidson

John Davidson holds the Chair of Classics at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand, where he has served since 1969 following the completion of his doctoral thesis in London. He became a Fellow at the T. B. L. Webster Chair at the School of Advanced Studies in London in 2003 and has published numerous studies on aspects of ancient Greek drama, including theatrical performance and the relationship between the Homeric epics and the tragedies of Sophocles and Euripides.
