Ryo Kawakami

O Ryo Kawakami was born on Miyako Island, Japan. Until 1990, he lived in Okinawa, but then his family moved to the United States. He currently resides in Greenville, North Carolina, where he studied at the School of Fine Arts. He came second in the Tokyopop competition for emerging manga artists with his work "Little Miss Witch Hater." His first work, "Orange Crows," has also been published by Tokyopop. He has illustrated stories in volumes 4 and 5 of the "Warcraft: Legends" series.
