Mairi Pisia

Mary Pisia was born in Athens. She studied Medieval and Modern Greek Philology at the University of Ioannina and has been working in public education as a philologist since 1990. She has participated in writing and poetry groups and has been awarded in short story and poetry competitions. Her first appearance in the literary world was in 2009 with her contribution to the short story collection "7ψυχές7ζωές" (7 Souls 7 Lives). In 2011 and 2012, two of her plays were presented at the international festival of Petra Theater and the cultural events of the Municipality of Ilion. In 2012, she published the fairy tale collection "Τρεις δράκοι, μα τι δράκοι!" (Three Dragons, But What Dragons!), in 2014 the short story collection "Ζωή σε δέκα καρέ" (Life in Ten Frames), and in 2016 her first novel, titled "Στη δίνη του ονείρου" (In the Vortex of the Dream). The work "Ιριδίζουσες σιωπές" (Iridescent Silences) is her first poetry collection. She lives in Athens, is married, and has two children.
