Giannis K. Tsolis

Giannis K. Tsolis (1946-) was born in Neochori, Arta. He graduated from the B' Classical High School of Arta. He worked for the City Police and, following its merger with the Greek Gendarmerie, served in the new Greek Police force until his retirement in 1991. He holds a diploma in Byzantine Music. Tsolis has been involved in literature, particularly poetry. In 2004, he published his first poetry collection titled "Poetic (Re)Collection," followed by his second work in 2006, "My Other Voice" (From the Secret Dialogue of My Soul), his third in 2008, "Poetic Melodies" (With the Voice of My Soul), his fourth in 2009, "Heartbeats," and his fifth in 2011, "Thunderbolts from the Sky of My Soul." In 2014, Angelakis Publishing released his novel "The Artians... in Struggles, Homeland, Love." Many of his poems have been published in local and Athenian newspapers, literary-philological magazines, and the New Great Encyclopedia of Modern Greek Literature by Haris Patsis. He is a regular member of the Society of Greek Writers, the Union of Greek Writers, and the Association of Historical Writers. His work has received numerous favorable reviews in newspapers and magazines from notable figures in the fields of literature and the arts.
