Aimilios Solomou

Aimilios Solomou was born in Cyprus in 1971. He studied History and Archaeology at the University of Athens and Journalism at a tertiary education institution. He worked as a journalist for a morning daily newspaper and is currently a teacher in Secondary Education. His short stories have been published in the magazines Anef, Nea Epohi, In Focus, and Mandragoras. Some of these stories have been translated and published in English and Bulgarian. He has published three novels: "The Scarecrow" (2000), "As a Sparrow, You Flew Swiftly" (2003), and "An Axe in Your Hands" (2007, Anef). For the latter, he was awarded the Cyprus State Prize for Fiction.
