Maria Peratikou - Kokaraki

Maria Peratikou-Kokaraki was born in Athens and grew up in Cyprus, her father's homeland. She was raised with the stories of her mother, an Athenian of Asia Minor descent, alongside the myths, legends, and struggles of Cyprus. These stories left her with tastes and scents that she later used to create her own small tales. Tales that took her on journeys and introduced her to human destinies, paths, struggles, resistances, efforts, and labors. She writes book reviews, gives lectures, and presents authors, which are published in literary magazines and newspapers in Cyprus and Greece. Her works have been translated into French, Italian, and German. Among her writings are the poetry collections "Agyrties," "Tanaformia," "Automela," "Hai-Kai," "Idiomena," "Haiku and Tanka," "Haiku - Senryu and Renga," the short story "Mnistra," and the novel "Waltz with Crutches." Part of 'The Cyprus Trilogy' includes the novels "The Years with the Cyclamens" and "The Years of the Akamantides."
