
Xenofon Mayraganis
Xenophon E. Mavraganis was born in 1940 in Plomari, Lesvos, where he received his early education. He studied law at the University of Thessaloniki and worked as a lawyer and journalist for several publications, including Macedonia, Thessaloniki, I Avgi, I Kathimerini, and Apogevmatini. He served as a municipal councilor in Kalamaria for 12 years and was a legal advisor to the State Theatre of Northern Greece and the Union of Daily Newspaper Journalists of Macedonia and Thrace. He published a collection of short stories titled "My Uncle the Saint" (Mytilene 2009, Empros Publications).
He contributed to the annual publication "Lesvos 1912-2012, One Hundred Years of Freedom" (Mytilene 2012, Plomari Club Benjamin of Lesvos edition). His short stories and poems have been featured in the annual editions of the Lesvos Almanac in 2016, 2017, and 2018, as well as in the magazines "Eneken," "Frear," and "Fractal."
