Giouli Anastasopoulou

Giouli Anastasopoulou was born in Athens in 1977. She studied Philosophy-Pedagogy-Psychology at the University of Athens, Human Resource Management in Scotland, and Psychology at Panteion University. She is a psychologist-psychotherapist and a scientific associate at the Athens Academy of Psychotherapy and Counseling. She identifies more as a dedicated reader than a writer. She wrote her first story in 1988. In 2008, she was among the twelve selected in the Patakis Publishers competition "Hotel Internet" with her short story about Facebook, "Make Me Your Friend." In 2013, she won the 1st prize in the International Literary Competition Strange Days. In 2014, she was awarded in the Mimis Souliotis competition organized by the University of Macedonia, Department of Creative Writing. She has attended writing seminars at the National Book Centre of Greece (EKEBI). In recent years, she has been actively participating in the Creative Writing Club Gomolasticha, which consists of eight writing enthusiasts. "Soul in Koulouri" is her first novella.
