Milo De Angelis

Milo De Angelis (Milan, 1951) has published numerous poetry collections since 1976, including the following: "Somiglianze" ["Correspondences"] (Guanda, 1976), "Millimetri" ["Millimeters"] (Einaudi, 1983), "Terra del viso" ["The Land of the Face"] (Mondadori, 1985), and "Biografia Sommaria" ["Summary Biography"] (Mondadori, 1999). He also authored the essay on poetry "Poesia e destino" ["Poetry and Destiny"] (Capelli, 1982) and directed the "neo-orphic" oriented magazine Niebo. In 2001, an anthology of his poetry collections was released. His latest poetry collection is "Tema dell'addio" ["Theme of Farewell"] (Mondadori, 2005). He participated in the International Meeting of Poets in Sarajevo in October 2006. Among others, he has translated works by Baudelaire, Drieu La Rochelle, and Lucretius. De Angelis's latest book, "Theme of Farewell," is considered by critics to be one of the most beautiful, interesting, and moving books published in recent years in Italy. In Greek, his poems were published in the magazine Planodion, issue 43, December 2007.
