
Stelios Fokos
Stelios Fokos was born in Alexandroupoli in 1952. He studied Modern Greek Philology at the School of Philosophy of the University of Athens and worked as a teacher in secondary education. He has published short stories, poems, and articles in newspapers and magazines. He authored the study "Kostas Paroritis: Introduction to His Life and Work" (Tekmirio, 1979) and subsequently, through Odysseas publications, released the literary works: "Chronicle of a Night" (short stories, 1989), "They Never Say Good Morning at Night" (novel, 1995), and "A Smiling Tiger" (novel, 1997). He edited the publication of classic works of Modern Greek Literature: "Kostas Paroritis, The Two Roads" (Tekmirio, 1979), in the "Modern Greek Literature" series by Odysseas publications, with extensive introductions: "Kostas Paroritis, Short Stories" (1982), "Emmanouil Roidis, Short Stories" (1988), "Pavlos Kalligás, Thanos Vlekas" (1989), and the collection by Giorgos Kotzioulas, "With a Lump in the Throat and Other Stories" (Dromon, 2018).
