THeodoros Fouskas

Dr. Theodoros Fouskas is a sociologist specializing in migration issues, migrant labor, migrant community organizations, political participation, and migrant unionism. He studied Sociology at the Department of Sociology at Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences (2004), where he completed his doctoral dissertation titled "Sociology, Migration, and Labor: 'Communities' of Migrants and Labor Representation: The Impact of Migrant Work and Employment on Their Participation in Five Migrant Labor Unions in Athens" (2010) with "Excellence." He was awarded a Ph.D. from the Department of Sociology at Panteion University in 2010. He is the author of the monograph: T. Fouskas (2012) "'Communities' of Migrants and Labor Representation: The Impact of Low-Status Work of Five Migrant Groups on Participation in Their Labor Unions." Athens: Papazisis. Additionally, he has published articles and delivered presentations at educational institutions, conferences, and seminars in Greece and abroad on the effects of low-status work on the organization and representation of migrants using micro-sociological research methods. Since 2005, he has participated as a scientific coordinator and researcher in various social studies on migrants and other vulnerable groups, with his latest project (2011) being the "Support for the Operation of Migrant Integration Councils (SEM)" (1.4/09/YPEXAHID/ETE).
