Clive Ponting

Clive Ponting served as a Reader in Political Science and International Relations at Swansea University in Wales. His most recent books include "World History: A New Perspective," "Thirteen Days: The Road to the First World War," "The Crimean War," and "Gunpowder: From the Alchemists of China to the Battlefields of Europe." After retiring, he lives on a small Greek island, where he maintains a Mediterranean garden and cultivates olives.
