Gretchen Rubin grew up in Kansas and began her career as a lawyer before realizing that she actually wanted to become a writer. Among other works, she has authored "Forty Ways to Look at Winston Churchill" and "Forty Ways to Look at JFK." "The Happiness Project" was first published in 2010 to great success, reaching No. 1 on the "New York Times" bestseller list, and has been translated into 35 languages. Additionally, a major U.S. television network is preparing a series based on the book. She lives in New York City with her husband and two daughters.
