Dionysis Kalamvrezos

Dionysis Kalamvrezos was born in Zakynthos. He studied law at the University of Athens and pursued postgraduate studies in international law and modern European history at the London School of Economics and Political Science and Université de Paris II. He serves at the permanent mission of Greece to the United Nations and has served at the Greek embassy in Moscow. His books include the political fantasy novels "An Incident in the Years of Dyarchy" (Roes, 1987), "The Disease and the Lotus Flower" (Aeolos, 1995), which was translated into Russian in 1997 and awarded a Greek fantasy literature prize, "Moscow-New York, the Inverted World" (Livanis, 2002), and the fantasy short story collections "The Machine Stopped" (Art and Word, 1984) and "Stories of Hermits, Castaways, and Exiles" (Aeolos, 1995). Stories from these collections have also received accolades. His articles and papers have been published in newspapers and magazines on issues of international law and politics, topics concerning the Hellenism of the former USSR, as well as on the literature of science fiction.
