- PEG-free: Does not contain PEGs (Polyethylene Glycols), ingredients often used for blending and stabilizing formulations in cosmetics.
- Phthalate-free: Does not contain phthalates, which are chemicals mainly used to stabilize fragrances or make plastics more flexible. In cosmetics, they are avoided because they are associated with potential health and hormone risks.
- Silicone-free: Does not contain silicones, for a lighter and more natural feel.
- Sulfate-free (SLS/SLES-free) : Does not contain sulfates (sulfate salts/strong cleansing agents such as SLS or SLES), which create a lot of foam but may dry out or irritate hair and skin. Usually considered a milder formula.
- Vegan: They do not contain animal ingredients (such as milk, honey, keratin, lanolin, squalene, etc.), but they may be tested on animals.
