A smaller nozzle diameter provides a finer and more even finish, ideal for varnishes and detailed work, while a larger diameter allows for faster coverage and is suitable for thicker paints and larger surfaces.
Precision & Detail: With a flow rate of 0.2–0.6 L/min. Ideal for furniture, window frames, railings, and small objects. Offers maximum control and minimal paint overspray.
General Purpose & Interior Walls: 0.7–1.8 L/min. For painting rooms, interior walls, and fences. A balance of speed and control.
Quick Coverage of Large Areas: 1.9–3.5 L/min. For façades, large walls, and outdoor areas. Enables very fast painting.
Professional / Industrial: Over 3.5 L/min. For large-scale contract applications, buildings, and heavy-duty work with Airless systems.
Varnishes / Wood Finishes (Wood): Up to 50 DIN/s. No thinning required. These are very low-viscosity materials. They can be sprayed even with the smallest, most affordable spray guns (with 1.0–1.5 mm nozzles).
Plastic / Acrylic (Walls): Over 90 DIN-s (up to 160 DIN-s). Thin by 5–10% (for spray guns rated at 90–100 DIN-s) or use undiluted (for powerful spray guns rated at 110–160 DIN-s). Requires a large nozzle (2.2–2.6 mm).
Enamel Paints / Oil-Based Paints (Metal): 51–90 DIN/s. Minimal thinning (0–5%). Medium-viscosity materials. Require a spray gun rated for at least 60 DIN/s and a 1.5–2.0 mm nozzle for a smooth finish.
