Clear- It is the communication protocol through which the smart switch communicates wirelessly with your mobile phone and allows you to remotely control the connected devices.
- Wi-Fi: Connects directly to your home router without requiring a separate hub or gateway
- ZigBee: A dedicated low-power protocol with mesh technology (signal relayed from device to device). Requires a central Zigbee hub/gateway
- RF: Radio-frequency communication (usually 433 MHz) for direct local control with wireless remote controls, without the need for an internet connection
- Bluetooth: Short-range direct connection to a mobile phone, usually for quick initial pairing or local control within a room
- Z-Wave: A reliable mesh network protocol operating at a lower radio frequency, which is not subject to Wi-Fi interference and requires a compatible Z-Wave hub
- Thread: Next-generation protocol with exceptionally low power consumption, ideally designed for the Matter standard (requires a Thread Border Router)
- Smart Switch: It is installed in your home’s wiring and allows you to control your devices remotely from your mobile phone. It turns any ordinary device into a smart one, enabling you to turn it on, off, or schedule its operation.
- Basic: Classic mechanical switch that connects to your device’s power cable and allows you to turn it on or off.
- Smart Button: It functions as a wireless remote control without cables. It does not directly control the power, but allows remote control via a smart switch or directly to a smart device (e.g. smart bulb).
- USB Switch: A low-voltage direct current (DC) switch placed between a charger and a USB device, making any basic device powered via a USB cable smart.
- Lighting: Suitable for controlling light fixtures, LED lamps, and desk lamps, with ON/OFF functionality
- Roller Shutters: Specifically designed for electric roller shutters, blinds, and awnings. It has two directions (up/down), with protection against simultaneous operation and the ability to adjust the opening percentage (calibration)
- Garage door: Switches with pulse or dry-contact (inching) mode, suitable for safely opening and closing garage doors or driveway gates.
- Water Heater: Heavy-duty relays designed for the safe control, consumption monitoring, and scheduling of electric water heaters
- With Remote Control: It allows you to control the switch remotely with a remote control, without needing your smartphone.
- Dimmer: It allows you to adjust the brightness of the lighting instead of simply turning it on or off. Bulbs that support dimmable functionality are required.
- Dry Contact: Dry Contact. It allows you to safely control devices that have their own power supply. It does not transfer current but enables you to control them remotely, without causing a short circuit or damage.
- Consumption Measurement: It allows you to see in real time how much electricity your connected device is consuming and to keep a usage history, via your smartphone and the compatible app.
- Aller Retour: Supports two-way switching, allowing the same light to be controlled by two or more physical wall switches.
- The central platform or app through which you can control the device, give voice commands, and create automations with other smart devices.
- Alexa: Amazon’s automation platform based on the Alexa voice assistant. It offers voice control capabilities and the creation of “Skills” for connecting and automatically coordinating multiple smart devices.
- Apple HomeKit: Apple’s ecosystem that allows secure control of the device from an iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch. Supports voice commands via Siri and the creation of automations through the Home app.
- Google Home: Google’s platform for managing and controlling smart devices. It allows operation via Google Assistant with voice commands in Greek and the integration of the device into automated routines.
- Matter: Matter is the new global standard that allows all devices to work seamlessly with Apple, Google, and Alexa simultaneously. It offers speed, security, and local operation.
- IFTTT: Automation ecosystem that connects the device with apps and other smart gadgets. Allows the creation of smart scenarios (Applets) for automatic operation based on location, weather, or other digital notifications.
- The number of independent circuits or devices that can be switched on or off separately by the same unit.
- It is the maximum amount of current the switch can withstand without burning out. The amperes of the controlled device must always be less than the switch's maximum load in amperes.
- With Neutral: For installations where both power wires (live and neutral) are present in the switch box in the wall.
- Without Neutral: For installations where there is only one wire (live) in the wall switch box.
