- It is an indicator that shows the level of protection of the floodlight. The (I) rating refers to protection against dust, and the (P) rating refers to the degree of waterproofing. The higher the numbers for each rating, the better the protection.
- IP44: Provides protection against small objects, such as thin tools, screwdrivers, or wires, as well as from accidental water splashes. It is a suitable choice for covered outdoor areas or bathrooms, where there is no direct exposure to heavy rain.
- IP54: It offers adequate protection against dust ingress and resistance to water splashes from any direction. It is considered a good solution for outdoor walls that are partially protected by awnings or canopies.
- IP65: IP65: This is the most common certification for outdoor floodlights, as it offers complete protection against dust and resistance to water jets. It can withstand direct exposure to rain and storms throughout the year without any issues.
- IP66: Provides complete protection against dust and resistance to powerful water jets under pressure. Preferred in areas with very severe weather conditions or in locations where the floodlight is frequently cleaned with a hose.
- IP67: Guarantees complete protection against dust and the ability to be submerged in water up to one meter deep for a short period of time. It is the top choice for areas that may flood or for highly demanding industrial installations.
- Lumen is a unit of luminous flux measurement that indicates the amount of light emitted by a floodlight. The more lumens a floodlight has, the brighter the light it produces.
- The wireless communication protocol supported by the lighting fixture for remote control via smartphone or remote control.
- The network of smart devices that the lighting fixture can connect to for creating automations and smart scenarios.
- Alexa: Amazon’s automation platform based on the Alexa voice assistant. It offers voice control capabilities and the creation of “Skills” for connecting and automatically coordinating multiple smart devices.
- Google Home: Google’s platform for managing and controlling smart devices. It allows operation via Google Assistant with voice commands in Greek and the integration of the device into automated routines.
