Clear- Cross Cut: Cuts into crosswise pieces of 2-4mm.
- Micro Cut: Cuts into pieces smaller than 2mm.
- Strip Cut: Cuts into strips of 6-12mm.
- P-1: Basic security level for general documents without sensitive information, such as rough notes, advertisements, or low-importance internal documents. Documents are cut into large strips and can be relatively easily reassembled.
- P-2: Suitable for everyday internal documents and non-sensitive data. Offers greater security than P-1, with narrower cut strips, but documents remain relatively readable if reassembled.
- P-3: Recommended for confidential documents and personal data, such as internal correspondence or invoices. The shredding is done into small pieces (cross-cut), making document reconstruction significantly more difficult.
- P-4: High level of security for sensitive and personal data. Documents are shredded into very small pieces, offering increased data protection and compliance with stricter security requirements.
- P-5: High level of security for confidential documents. The shredding produces extremely small particles, making reconstruction virtually impossible.
- P-6: Offers exceptionally high protection by shredding documents into tiny micro-cut particles measuring under 10 mm². Recommended for highly confidential data, such as government or banking secrets, as information recovery is virtually impossible.
- P-7: Offers the highest level of protection under the DIN 66399 standard. Shreds paper into tiny particles (up to 5 mm²), making information impossible to recover. Suitable for strictly confidential, military, or government documents.
- It shows how many sheets of paper the shredder can destroy at once without jamming or overloading.
- Shows how much shredded paper the shredder can hold before it needs to be emptied. A larger bin needs emptying less often, making it more convenient in settings with regular use.
- Up to 15 L: Suitable exclusively for personal or home use (1 person) with occasional shredding needs.
- From 16 to 25 L: Suitable for small offices or teams of 1 to 3 people with regular, daily use.
- From 26 to 40 lt: Suitable for medium-sized offices, accounting departments, or shared teams of 3 to 5 people (and up to 8–10 people in moderate-volume environments) that shred documents daily.
- 41 L and above: Suitable for large offices, entire departments, or shared floors with 5 to 15+ people, handling a continuous, high volume of document shredding.
- Household Use: Shredders suitable for occasional home use, such as destroying receipts and personal bills. They have a smaller bin and are designed to shred a few sheets at a time, requiring cooling breaks.
- Small Offices: Shredders designed for use by 1–5 people, offering a larger bin and longer continuous run time than home-use models to meet a small office’s everyday document shredding needs.
- Large Offices / Professional: Shredders designed for frequent use by multiple people (5+ users). They feature a large bin, a durable motor for continuous operation, and the capacity to shred multiple sheets at once.
- Specifies the different materials the device can shred in addition to regular paper. Document shredders may handle paper clips and staples, credit cards, and even digital media such as CDs and DVDs without damaging their blades.
- Automatic Feeding: Allows multiple sheets to be placed simultaneously in the special tray, without the need for manual insertion of each page.
- Jam Protection (Anti-Jam): Prevents paper from jamming in the blades, making shredding easy and uninterrupted.
- Indicates how long the device can operate continuously before it needs a break to cool down.
- Occasional Use (up to 5 min) 0
- Daily Use (6–15 min) 3
- Heavy-Duty Use (20–30 min) 3
- Continuous Use / Heavy Duty (30 min+) 4
- Indicates how long the device needs to remain switched off to cool down before its next use.
- Indicates the noise level while the shredder is operating, measured in decibels (dB). Lower levels (below 60 dB) are recommended for shared offices or quiet environments.
- Pull-out: The bin slides out for quick and easy emptying, without needing to lift the shredder’s top section (head).
- Removable Head: The shredder has a manually liftable head that must be removed to empty the waste bin. It is a simple, practical solution, usually suitable for smaller volumes of paper.
