- 0 (Solo): The tool is sold “bare,” meaning the package does not include a battery or charger.
- Single-phase: Machines that operate on the standard household power supply (230V). They cover the widest range of amateur and professional tools.
- Three-phase: They require a special industrial power supply (400V). These are very powerful, heavy-duty machines for demanding, continuous use in machine shops.
- Brushless: Tools equipped with a brushless motor (induction). They have a longer lifespan, require no maintenance (carbon brush replacement), heat up less, and manage the battery better
