Filters
Clear- EDTA: Contains the anticoagulant EDTA, which binds calcium. It preserves cell morphology and is essential for complete blood counts, blood grouping, and glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) tests.
- Plain: Contains no anticoagulants or chemical additives. The blood clots naturally, producing clear serum suitable for serological testing, toxicology tests, crossmatching, and blood banking.
- Sodium Citrate: Contains sodium citrate. The light blue cap (3.2%) is used for coagulation tests (PT, PTT, D-dimers), while the black cap (3.8%) is intended exclusively for measuring the erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR).
- Clot Activator / Serum Gel: Contains a clot activator and separation gel. Speeds up clotting and separates serum from blood cells, making it ideal for biochemical, immunological, and serological tests on serum.
- Lithium Heparin / Sodium Heparin: Contains heparin, which inhibits thrombin. Prevents clotting while producing plasma, making it suitable for urgent biochemical tests (STAT), electrolyte measurement, and blood gas analysis.
