Review this product
  • Construction quality
  • Sound intensity in headphones
  • Quality of effects
  • Sound quality
  • Value for money
  • Sensation of keys/knobs/jogs/faders
  • Moderate difficulty to transfer
  • Number of settings/functions?
  • The faders are excessively "soft," the master peak meters show the level of the cue when they are active, which is annoying and useless. It heats up a lot and personally, it bothers me! I don't know how it will handle the summer. The sound is very good. The effects are quite a few, but only 2 or 3 are suitable for professional use, the rest are meaningless! Overall, I wasn't impressed! I would expect more from Allen Heath. For the price, 3 stars because I consider it expensive.

For someone who is looking for more than 2 phono inputs, this mixer with 4 phono and 4 line inputs is the way to go. The sound is more than AMAZING, with a plethora of effects like delay, flanger, reverb, etc., the famous xone filter, DVS compatibility with Traktor Scratch Pro (worked fine for me with Traktor vinyl control and Virtual DJ 2021), and the incredible quality of Allen & Heath. I was torn between the Pioneer DJM 750 mk2 and chose the PX5 because of the significant difference in sound quality, and I don't regret it. An awesome mixer for pairing with SL 1200 mk2 for anyone who listens to vinyl records and of course, not only that. Exactly what is said about the mixer: Hybrid with an analog soul and digital effects.
Attention: It does not include the USB cable for connecting to a laptop and DVS, so you need to separately purchase an audio USB cable.

Update one year later: The only downside is the fader knobs, which may come off in your hand while playing as they do not fit tightly on the fader... I replaced them with chroma caps and they are okay, but it is still a drawback and is mentioned as a flaw in several forums, although not in all PX5 models.
