Because the liquid in the mercury-free thermometer has less gravity compared to mercury thermometers, a different approach is needed to lower the liquid below the 35°C level

• Place the thermometer in the shaking tool and screw the green cap tightly. 
• Extend your hand, letting the palm be perpendicular to the body. 
• Hold the green end of the shaking tool tightly with your thumb and index finger. 
• Let the shaking tool be perpendicular to the palm, meaning the thermometer and the body should be parallel to each other. 
• Rotate the shaking tool at high frequency; during this action, do not shake the arm, only the palm.
• Do not shake the tool vigorously but steadily until the liquid reaches the 35°C level.
