Description & Specifications

At the core of political culture are the converging and complementary concepts of "national worldview," "nation," "national independence," "nation-state," "democracy," "social freedom," and "political freedom." Although the content of these concepts differs depending on the anthropological diversity of each social entity, they are structurally identical for all nations.

The continuous, timeless spiritual and political development of these concepts constitutes the Worldview of Nations. The predominance of the worldview of nations and stability in the 21st century is primarily linked to the establishment of national independence as a fundamental philosophical assumption of all nations and the consequent development of anti-hegemonic, nation-centric coalitions.

The title "Worldview of Nations" is inspired by Rigas Feraios. The central chapters of the book, moreover, are built around the monumental poems of Kavafis: "Walls," "Barbarians," and "Ithaca."

Destructive ideologies and internationalism of the 19th and 20th centuries—anarchism, Nazism, communism, liberalism—emanated from the same materialistic mother and met the same fate: after bleeding humanity as they entered the 21st century, they are collapsing under the weight of their contradictions. As we distance ourselves from colonialism, national spiritual forces are being unleashed.

Materialism, ideology, and internationalism constitute the trio of destruction in recent centuries. The most consistent materialist is the Marquis de Sade. Modernism gradually slipped into anti-spirituality, constructing towering materialistic walls around the public sphere of European states.

The origins of political culture lie in classical antiquity. The spiritual construction of national worldviews amidst suspensions, reversals, and adversities has been and continues to be upward. Despite the materialistic assumptions that fundamentally emerged after the 16th century, nations are tirelessly constituting and building the national-anthropological prerequisites for a civilized nation-state political life and an internationally system founded on nation-centric principles.

The EU is examined as a model for a future nation-centric system. Political culture peaked in the Byzantine Oecumene but has since suffered significant blows since the fall of Constantinople. Despite the blows inflicted by the advent of materialism and ideologies, the nation is coming back to life. Against the backdrop of materialistic views, national worldviews that have been built up over millennia are gradually resurfacing.
