    Well, as a student I lived in a house (studio apartment) that reached 95% humidity... the dehumidifier was the best thing for a space up to 30 sq.m. ..I don't know if a cheaper one can be found for the job it does...
    As for the negatives, I would say it's the noise it makes, since I used it while I was sleeping and had it next to me...
    Value for money.
