On October 15, 1927, during the Second Grand Assembly of the Republican People's Party, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, President of the newly established Turkish Republic, ascended the podium and began his speech.
This is the speech that became known as "Atatürk's Nutuk" and lasted for 6 days (a total of 36.5 hours). A discourse that over time has proven to be of great historical significance both for the Turks and for scholars around the world studying Atatürk's work and modern Turkish history.
This is the first time the entire text has been translated into Greek, and we hope it will serve as another building block in the better knowledge and understanding of the contemporary history of both peoples.
