Purchase for replacement of a 20-year-old Peugeot 206 radio cassette (!) that I will give to my son as soon as he gets his driver's license. I wanted something cheap and functional. I ended up with the Felix FX-403 after carefully reading the reviews and comments on Skroutz.

1. Nice appearance, with a fairly large screen (as much as a 1DIN audio system allows) and bright.
2. Somehow I thought the screen would be touch screen, it is not. It has good resolution, but the truth is that for all functions (except video playback and reverse camera) the screen is not utilized - it's just for show, not substance.
3. So all operations are done through the buttons and the round knob. The buttons have a moderate feel, not completely fake but you wonder how durable they will be.
4. The positions of the controls and the ergonomics are average. The menus are familiar, but not the position of the buttons for station search, which instead of being left-right are up-down, and I always have to think about which one to press to go up or down the band (the indications are very small, not visible).
5. Do not choose Greek, the options displayed in the menus are a mess.
6. The button illumination is blue, there is no color selection, and the screen has a blue background. Subtle colors, they do not clash with the car's red lighting. The brightness is not adjustable, but I do not consider it an essential lack.
7. The main reason for choosing it was the good reviews for using mobile with Bluetooth, which are confirmed. The callers hear me very well (the built-in microphone seems to do the job), in general the hands-free call quality is comparable to much more expensive systems. Of course, there are weaknesses, you get what you pay for:
- There is call recognition, but numbers are displayed instead of names from the mobile's directory (I tried with both Android and iPhone).
- There is no button to answer a call, you have to do it from the mobile.
- The Bluetooth remembers only one mobile, to which it automatically connects as soon as it is within range. However, the connection is fast and trouble-free.
- The Bluetooth connection menu is a dead screen. If you want to connect another mobile, the system does not have an option to forget the old one. Disconnection is done from the mobile's menu. As long as Bluetooth is not connected, any mobile can search and connect without any control - no passcode or confirmation is required!
8. The sound is good and powerful, much better than I expected from a system of this price. I replaced the front speakers with a pair of affordable Pioneer speakers and I enjoy music while driving. There is an equalizer with 5 presets (Jazz, Rock, Classical, etc.).
9. I did not try video and file playback from cards, and I am not interested (why watch videos on a tiny screen in the car?). The main use will be radio, music from the mobile via Bluetooth, and hands-free calls. Oh, yes, there is also a remote control - what use does a remote control have in a car audio system?
10. The radio seems to have average reception. It is supposed that by pressing the UP+DOWN buttons simultaneously for 2 seconds it would switch to manual scan, but it does not work. There is RDS, but with very small letters in the upper right part of the screen. You can enable or disable Stereo and Local options, but I have not found a way to disable the AF option (I assume auto frequency. the manual is rudimentary...).
11. And this brings me to the serious problem I encountered: The system loses signals!
- The watch, a while after being set, changes time on its own (it moves one hour and two minutes ahead!!! I have stopped adjusting it because it doesn't make sense anymore. You might say, you can see the correct time on the car's clock, but this is not logical...
- Also, every now and then it loses the station I'm listening to and starts scanning, probably due to poor reception, but the bad thing is that it loses the station I was listening to from memory. Very annoying, because I have to constantly readjust it! I contacted the dealership thinking that these are known issues, they told me they had never heard of them before (I have seen someone else mention in a question that it doesn't keep time, maybe they didn't bother to investigate it). Luckily, I live in Athens and I will take it to the service center to see what's going on.

In summary:

Aesthetically beautiful sound system, with good sound and very good hands-free function. If you can compromise on some ergonomic issues and some shortcomings in functionality, it is worth the money and more. In other words, I wouldn't put it in my family car or my wife's car (I would prefer to pay a little more and avoid the complaints, which may be partly justified), but for upgrading the sound system of an older car, it is excellent.

My rating is currently low due to the problem that occurred - an opportunity to evaluate the dealership's support and I will come back for the final evaluation.

UPDATE August 2021:
Due to my mistake, it broke and I ended up getting something similar: the Akai CA015A-4108S.
The only difference between them is the layout of the physical buttons (the Felix has a much better one!) and that the AKAI has a slightly better screen. Otherwise, it is exactly the same device underneath and in terms of software.

With the AKAI, I clearly saw that there is no shuffle folder functionality for mp3s. It either has "normal playback" (with its own order that I haven't figured out) or shuffle all, playing the entire USB stick as one playlist.

Between the two, go for this one. It's cheaper, has a much better layout for the physical buttons, and the difference in the screen is practically negligible.

Initial evaluation:

For its price, it is very well designed and implemented. My profession has a lot to do with user experience, and I did not expect everything to be so "in its place" here.

Summary: it does what it does correctly and user-friendly. For its €50, it's sugar, and don't complain at all about what could have been better.

Positives:
- Quite good and bright screen, even in sunlight*
- Bluetooth connection: easy and without problems
- Call quality is fine. I did not expect it, especially considering it does not have an extra microphone to place somewhere more central/high. And I have it installed in a first-generation Vitara, which does not have the most...quiet cabin.
- Plays USB/SD sticks perfectly with folder navigation and Greek language support. See below.
- Has call recognition. On my iPhone, on the first call I received, it asked for permission (on the iPhone) to access my contacts, I pressed "ok," and everything was fine.
- The menu is properly structured and user-friendly. It has very few settings, but it offers them correctly. I have tested Bluetooth, radio, and music on USB sticks, and everything works perfectly. I still need to connect a camera for the reverse, but I'm not crazy about the 4-inch(?) screen...

Negatives (but don't forget the price):
- It does not have even a small battery, so when you start the engine, it restarts and you wait about 10 seconds until it continues where it was. However, it does not lose the settings or where it was.
- It does not display the Greek character "ς" and accented vowels.
- In mp3s, it does not have a "shuffle folder" function. It has "normal" playback, which puts them in its own order, and it also has a "shuffle across all folders" that considers the entire USB stick as a big playlist.
- I have not figured out how it sorts files in folders, but it doesn't bother me.
- Very basic menu and few settings. The only thing I miss from the basics is adjusting the screen brightness. But you get used to it, it doesn't strain your eyes.

Information:
- Folder navigation (USB/SD): it has a dedicated button for going back. To enter, you press the scroll wheel (making a "click"). You scroll with the scroll wheel. It shows subfolders, and navigation is user-friendly (with a small complaint about sorting).
- It has a menu for general settings and a second one for sound, where you can disable the annoying "beep with every movement." The first menu is accessed by going "all the way back" with the back button, and the last option is there. The sound menu (treble/bass, etc.) only appears when playing music, by clicking the scroll wheel.
- It has both shuffle all and shuffle by folder. It's a bit tricky to set it up the first time, but after that, it works as it should.

* I bought a 2DIN Android device that was the top of its category (for another car) and when there is a lot of sunlight, it can't be read at all. This one here, for 50€, works better :/

I had written a positive review which I deleted within 15 days. I do not recommend it to anyone. I made the mistake of only reading the positive comments. Don't do the same. I was looking for an affordable sound system and ended up wasting 80 euros (purchase + repair - courier) on a cheap Chinese one.

The problem starts when you make the mistake of ordering it. That's it. You can't send it back.

I bought it on 7/8/19 and it stopped working on 20/8/19. I sent it for service at my own expense (+28 euros for courier) and in 3 days it burned out again.

(Clarification: the courier from a private individual costs much more than from the company. I didn't know this because I've never had such a bad experience with a product and such poor treatment from a cooperating store on Skroutz. And I've been shopping online for 8-9 years. I have experience with online stores.)

I contacted the "service" at Michalakopoulou again and they told me to send it again (!!!) at my own expense (+28 euros) for them to look at it again. Sorry, with 120 euros (61 euros purchase + 56 euros courier) you can buy a reliable branded sound system. Pioneer, Alpine, Kenwood, Sony. Even with 40 euros, you can buy a branded product with a 5-year warranty.

Stay away from Chinese products of questionable quality. You will pay for them twice. It's better to buy from a fair, trustworthy merchant who sells them at half the price.

I asked them for a replacement and they refused. I asked for a different product and they refused.

I sent it where it belongs. In the trash.

First of all, I will start with the value/performance ratio. For 60€, you get a machine that a few years ago we couldn't even dream of. It plays mp3 from USB stick & micro SD card (who needs CDs anymore?). It has open Bluetooth listening, with amazing sound quality (loud and clear). It has good sound quality comparable to more expensive systems and it also plays mp4 video files (I have already downloaded several from YouTube) in HD.

Of course, it has some negatives in its software, for example, when you have the "shuffle" option on mp3 for random playback of songs, it only works when each song plays until the end and not when you press the "next" button. Also, the letters on the screen are small and you can't easily see the information like the title of the song or the number that calls you on your phone (Bluetooth). Also, the color of the buttons at night is only blue (I have a red dashboard and it doesn't match much, but it doesn't bother me).

Overall, if you are looking for a machine to do it all and be cheap, it might disappoint you. If you want to listen to your music with dignity, etc., it's fine.

I have had it for about a month and I am very satisfied.

Many promises but...
It is a device that offers a lot for its price (radio, USB, aux, Bluetooth), except for CD. However, all these features are offset by the poor quality. The radio does not have RDS and synchronizes incorrectly every 15 MHz (the stations are at least 30 MHz apart, so you hear interference between each station). Navigating through the stations is done manually, which is terrible (you can't press continuously and you have to move in increments of 5 MHz, meaning that if you want to go from 88 MHz to 89 MHz, you need 20 clicks!!!). Also, the signal is very weak.
As for the USB, it does not read folders. I saw some comments above saying that it does, but maybe it only happens if your USB stick is formatted as FAT32. I still have my doubts.
Bluetooth is always a good choice, but after 4 MONTHS OF USE, IT BROKE! Unacceptable!
The sound and volume are satisfactory for their price.
Otherwise, it is slow to open but easy to use. The screen has good resolution and is large for a 1DIN, but it is not utilized at all by the device, meaning it is useless.
It is very fragile. That's why it gets 1 star. If I have to pay for it again, it is no longer cheap.
P.S. For those interested, it does not support CAN bus.
