“The small world, the great!” by Odysseas Elytis, with music by Giorgos Kouroupos, is an anthology where the lyricism, boldness, and expressive power of Elytis' writing combine with the color of his visual artwork and the original musical adaptations of his poems by Giorgos Kouroupos.
Poems from all periods of Elytis' writing, excerpts from his prose—regarding the significance of art, the formation of his poetic voice—are presented along with photographs and visuals of his (drawings, tempera paintings, collages, manuscripts).
The edition includes 2 CDs with all the texts of the book, some in recitation and others set to music, composed by Giorgos Kouroupos. In its acoustic form, the book represents a different journey of knowledge and love into the work of Elytis.
