As a tank bag, it is very good and practical. It fits on bikes that have a higher fuel tank (Tenere, Africa, etc.). The problem, however, is that it does not fit on all bikes that have tank lock. Something that Givi does not mention is that this specific one is ONLY for Africa Twin. On the Africa Twin, the tank lock ring is placed with the opening to the right, while on all other bikes, it is placed with the opening towards the rider's side.
So if you do not have an Africa and want to get this one, you have the following 2 options:
1. You place the tank lock with the opening to the right (if possible), which for me is ugly, and you cannot place another tank bag, let's say a smaller one.
2. You make new holes in the tank bag and place the base correctly (this is what I did).
Now, if you have a Yamaha Tenere 700, I consider option 2 to be the only way. Because if you do option 1, the little feet that the tank lock has for weight support go to the sides and are not used, so there is a chance it could cause damage to the fuel cap.
Also, another small issue is that if you are a Tenere 700 user like me, with this specific one, you will not be able to ride normally upright.
Σαν tankbag ειναι πολυ καλο καο χρηστικο. Ταιριαζει σε μηχανες που ειναι πιο υπερυψωμενο το ντεποζιτο (tenere, africa κλπ). Το προβλημα ομως ειναι πως δε μπαινει σε ολες τις μηχανες που εχουν tanklock. Κατι που δεν αναφερει η givi ειναι πως το συγκεκριμενο ειναι ΜΟΝΟ για africa twin. Στο africa twin το δαχτυλιδι του tanklock τοποθετειται με το ανοιγμα προς τα δεξια ενω σε ολες τις αλλες μηχανες με το ανοιγμα προς τη μερια του αναβατη.
Αρα αν δεν εχετε africa και θελετε να παρετε το συγκεκριμενο εχετε τις εξης 2 επιλογες:
1. Τοποθετειτε το tanklock με το ανοιγμα δεξια (αν γινεται) το οποιο για εμενα ειναι ασχημο και δε μπορειτε να τοποθετησετε αλλο tankbag ας πουμε ενα πιο μικρο.
2. Κανετε καινουριες τρυπες στο tankbag και τοποθετειτε τη βαση του σωστα (αυτο εκανα κι εγω).
Τωρα, αν εχετε Yamaha Tenere 700 ειναι θεωρω μονοδρομος το 2. Γιατι αν κανετε το 1 τα ποδαρακια που εχει το tanklock για στηριξη του βαρους μπαινουν στα πλαγια και δε χρησιμοποιουνται οποτε υπαρχει η περιπτωση να προξενησει βλαβη στη ταπα του ντεποζιτου.
Επισης, ενα αλλο μικρο θεματακι ειναι πως, αν ειστε χρηστης tenere 700 οπως εγω, με το συγκεκριμενο δε θα μπορειτε να οδηγησετε κανονικα ορθιοι.
