All the boys in Petersburg envy Huck Finn. He lives without rules and does whatever he wants. He runs away from his father and, on a raft, travels down the Mississippi with Jim, an escaped slave. They face dangers and adventures until they encounter Tom Sawyer and experience the most dangerous adventure.
