Security. Clearly, Windows is the least secure operating system. However, that doesn't mean that others are invulnerable. You can easily get a virus on a Mac or Linux, just as easily as on Windows.
The issue is that many people overlook Windows Updates. Windows updates are the most critical aspect of Windows. With each new update, a potential security vulnerability may be patched, which could have led to a virus infection.
When WannaCry, one of the biggest ransomware attacks, hit hundreds of thousands of users, it was because those users had not installed Windows Update (specifically MS17-010).
Therefore, we cannot criticize an operating system for being so insecure while also complaining about being forced to do updates. Microsoft hires ethical hackers to find security vulnerabilities and then fixes them... with Windows Update.
Privacy. This is where things get messy. And the answer is very simple.
With a piracy rate of 57% on Windows, a business model cannot be sustained solely by the Windows market. Microsoft no longer even tries. It gives away Windows 10 for free (with the watermark, but okay). So how does it make money?
Simple. It collects personal data to tailor advertisements. If this sounds shocking to you... do you not remember when you installed Windows and clicked "Accept" on the terms of use?
It clearly states there what personal data it collects from all Microsoft applications. Since we have all clicked "Accept," Microsoft does not need to explain or justify anything. It writes everything in the terms of use.
If someone doesn't like Microsoft collecting data, they can simply... not install Windows. Get a Mac. Install Linux.
We cannot criticize a company for something that it clearly states three(!) times during the Windows installation process. Once someone accepts the terms of use, they also accept that Microsoft will collect data from specific applications. I don't understand why there has been such an uproar in recent years. An uproar fueled by articles and publications written literally by WINDOWS. Which means that the people publishing them have clearly and consciously accepted the terms of use.
If you didn't read the terms of use and didn't know, it's not Microsoft's problem. It's like signing a contract with a multinational corporation and then complaining about the terms of the contract... after you've signed it. Actually, it's not "like"... it's exactly the same because when you click "Accept," you are entering into a contract with Microsoft.
That's my opinion. From me, it's a 5/5. The best operating system (unless you have a MacBook/Mac, then obviously you'll have a Mac). I have already ordered a second license for my new computer.

No respect for user privacy. No protection from viruses or hackers (even with the best antivirus) and slow compared to all Linux distributions or at least XP/7. It forces the user to make updates, just like it forced its installation on systems with older versions of Windows. The only reason it exists is because games are built on Windows and because people are uninformed.
Κανένας σεβασμός στην ιδιωτικότητα του χρήστη. Καμία ασφάλεια από ιούς ή hackers (ακόμα και με το καλύτερο antivirus) και αργό σε σχέση με όλες τις διανομές Linux ή έστω με τα XP/7. Επιβάλλει στον χρήστη να κάνει ενημερώσεις, όπως επέβαλε και την εγκατάστασή του στα συστήματα με παλαιότερη έκδοση Windows. Ο μόνος λόγο που υπάρχει είναι επειδή τα παιχνίδια κτίζονται πάνω σε Windows και γιατί ο κόσμος είναι ανενημερωτος.

Δεν γίνεται να κατακρίνεται μια εταιρεία για κάτι που καθαρά γράφει 3(!) φορές κατά τη διαδικασία της εγκατάστασης των Windows.
Από τη στιγμή που κάποιος αποδέχεται τους όρους χρήσης, αποδέχεται και ότι η Microsoft θα συλλέγει δεδομένα απο συγκεκριμένες εφαρμογές. Δεν καταλαβαίνω γιατί έχει γίνει ντόρος τα τελευταία χρόνια. Ντόρος με άρθρα και δημοσιεύσεις που έχουν γραφτεί κυριολεκτικά από WINDOWS. Που σημαίνει οι άνθρωποι που τα δημοσιεύουν έχουν αποδεχτεί τους όρους χρήσης καθαρά και συνειδητά.
Αν δεν διάβασες τους όρους χρήσης και δεν ήξερες, δεν είναι πρόβλημα της Microsoft. Είναι σαν με το να κάνεις ένα συμβόλαιο με μια πολυεθνική και να διαμαρτυρεσαι για τους όρους του συμβολαιου..αφου υπογράψεις το συμβόλαιο. Βασικά, δεν είναι "σαν"...ειναι ακριβώς το ίδιο γιατί όταν πατάς αποδέχομαι είναι ένα συμβόλαιο που κάνεις με την Microsoft.
Αυτή είναι η γνώμη μου. Από μένα 5/5. Το καλύτερο λειτουργικό (εκτός και αν έχεις Macbook/Mac τότε προφανώς θα έχεις Mac. Έχω ήδη παραγγείλει δεύτερη άδεια για τον καινούργιο υπολογιστή.
No respect for user privacy. No protection from viruses or hackers (even with the best antivirus) and slow compared to all Linux distributions or at least XP/7. It forces the user to make updates, just like it forced its installation on systems with older versions of Windows. The only reason it exists is because games are built on Windows and because people are uninformed.
Κανένας σεβασμός στην ιδιωτικότητα του χρήστη. Καμία ασφάλεια από ιούς ή hackers (ακόμα και με το καλύτερο antivirus) και αργό σε σχέση με όλες τις διανομές Linux ή έστω με τα XP/7. Επιβάλλει στον χρήστη να κάνει ενημερώσεις, όπως επέβαλε και την εγκατάστασή του στα συστήματα με παλαιότερη έκδοση Windows. Ο μόνος λόγο που υπάρχει είναι επειδή τα παιχνίδια κτίζονται πάνω σε Windows και γιατί ο κόσμος είναι ανενημερωτος.

As a Windows 10 user for the past 3 years, I would also like to share my opinion. I will skip the part about how fast and easy it is to use because that is obvious.
Security. Clearly, Windows is the least secure operating system. However, that doesn't mean that others are invulnerable. You can easily get a virus on a Mac or Linux, just as easily as on Windows.
The issue is that many people overlook Windows Updates. Windows updates are the most critical aspect of Windows. With each new update, a potential security vulnerability may be patched, which could have led to a virus infection.
When WannaCry, one of the biggest ransomware attacks, hit hundreds of thousands of users, it was because those users had not installed Windows Update (specifically MS17-010).
Therefore, we cannot criticize an operating system for being so insecure while also complaining about being forced to do updates. Microsoft hires ethical hackers to find security vulnerabilities and then fixes them... with Windows Update.
Privacy. This is where things get messy. And the answer is very simple.
With a piracy rate of 57% on Windows, a business model cannot be sustained solely by the Windows market. Microsoft no longer even tries. It gives away Windows 10 for free (with the watermark, but okay). So how does it make money?
Simple. It collects personal data to tailor advertisements. If this sounds shocking to you... do you not remember when you installed Windows and clicked "Accept" on the terms of use?
It clearly states there what personal data it collects from all Microsoft applications. Since we have all clicked "Accept," Microsoft does not need to explain or justify anything. It writes everything in the terms of use.
If someone doesn't like Microsoft collecting data, they can simply... not install Windows. Get a Mac. Install Linux.
We cannot criticize a company for something that it clearly states three(!) times during the Windows installation process. Once someone accepts the terms of use, they also accept that Microsoft will collect data from specific applications. I don't understand why there has been such an uproar in recent years. An uproar fueled by articles and publications written literally by WINDOWS. Which means that the people publishing them have clearly and consciously accepted the terms of use.
If you didn't read the terms of use and didn't know, it's not Microsoft's problem. It's like signing a contract with a multinational corporation and then complaining about the terms of the contract... after you've signed it. Actually, it's not "like"... it's exactly the same because when you click "Accept," you are entering into a contract with Microsoft.
That's my opinion. From me, it's a 5/5. The best operating system (unless you have a MacBook/Mac, then obviously you'll have a Mac). I have already ordered a second license for my new computer.

Ως κάτοχος των Windows 10 εδώ και 3 χρόνια, θα ήθελα να πω και εγώ την γνώμη μου. Προσπερνάω το ποσό γρήγορο και εύκολο στη χρήση είναι γιατί αυτό είναι αυτονόητο.
Ασφάλεια. Σαφώς τα Windows είναι τα λιγότερο ασφαλή λειτουργικά συστήματα. Δεν σημαίνει όμως ότι τα άλλα είναι άτρωτα. Ιό μπορείς να κολλήσεις πανεύκολα σε Mac όσο εύκολα και σε Linux.
Το θέμα είναι ότι πολλοί προσπερνάνε τα Windows Update. Τα windows update παιδιά είναι το πιο κρίσιμο σημείο των Windows. Με κάθε νέο windows update πιθανόν να καλύπτεται ένα χ κενό ασφαλείας, που μπορούσατε να κολλήσετε ιό αο αυτό.
Όταν το Wanna Cry, ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα ransomware, χτύπησε εκατοντάδες χιλιάδες χρήστες, ήταν επειδή αυτοί οι χρήστες δεν είχαν κάνει Windows Update (συγκεκριμένα το MS17-010).
Άρα, δεν γίνεται να μιλάμε για ένα τόσο μη ασφαλές λειτουργικό, ενώ ταυτόχρονα να παραπονιομαστε οτι μας υποχρεώνει να κάνουμε τα Updates. Η Microsoft προσλαμβάνει ethical hackers που προσπαθούν να βρουν κενά ασφαλείας και έπειτα τα φτιάχνει...με Windows Update
Ιδιωτικότητα. Εδώ και αν γίνεται χαμός. Και η απάντηση είναι πάρα πάρα πολύ απλή.
