  • The worst thing I have ever used in my life and I would not have expected it from Makita. The chuck, as many users have correctly mentioned, is useless plastic junk that never tightens, resulting in it driving you crazy just to drill a hole, with the drill bit constantly slipping inside and you having to injure yourself since it gets hot as well and you try to fix it. When I tried to return it years ago to the store where I bought it, they told me I couldn't tighten it properly, but fortunately now users have a way to avoid the madness :D
I recently bought a model from another company for half the price and I had a party when I saw that I could easily drill even in concrete, whereas with the Makita you had to search for where the drill bit went. Stay away from this particular one if you care about your mental health

The plastic chuck not only does not tighten enough, but it also damages your hand due to friction in order to tighten it until it dies to hold the drill bits.
The consumables were the most useless I had ever used.
From an anonymous Chinese brand, I would expect them to break during use, but from Makita, in the first uses... unacceptable.

I changed it with another one as the chuck did not hold the drill well. The new drill I bought, from a different company, is clearly of better quality with a metal chuck instead of plastic.

I bought it about three years ago! The chuck is plastic, cheaply made, and does not grip the drill well at all! It takes me forever to finish the job! The accessories from the case seemed useful to me!
