This time, the young heroine enters a fantastical world where everything is reversed and embarks on many exciting adventures featuring mythical creatures, knights, kings and queens of chess, talking puddings, and flowers, until she herself becomes a queen atop a giant chessboard.

It is a captivating fairy tale that has been read by millions of children (and not only) worldwide and rightly takes its place alongside the classic "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," even though it took longer to become as well-known as the first book.
