The dominant element of the Greek landscape is the sea. The extensive coastlines of the country extend over fifteen thousand kilometers. Along their outline are countless bays, coves, capes, peninsulas, and isthmuses.
The open surface of the sea beyond the shores is divided into four main and five smaller seas, which in turn are subdivided into twelve seas. As if scattered by random dice, there are more than 1500 small and large islands that float on the watery element, sometimes in dense and other times in sparse arrangements, forming ten groups.
This whole can be paralleled with a galaxy, where one encounters an infinity of celestial bodies with different individual characteristics and in unique formations. In an effort to convey the corresponding sense in this album through the presentation of images, the emphasis was placed on revealing the often imperceptible or hidden relationships among them, creating pairs of contrast or affinity, with the aim of showcasing their inexhaustible variety.
Dimitris Filippidis
The album is adorned with excerpts from the book of the New Testament "Acts of the Apostles".
