Christians or scholars of Christianity have certainly heard of Simon the Sorcerer, whom the apostle Peter rebuked, and even forced him to die when this heretical "sorcerer" attempted to fly with the help of... demons!

Many unlikely theories have been put forward, one of which claims that the name "Simon" was a pseudonym for Paul. Indeed, it is a fact that Simon was a mysterious figure who was anything but demonic. He taught a system of theosophy and Gnosticism that still captivates interest today.
