Description & Specifications

In the school environment, many and varied problems arise that concern students, teachers, parents, and generally all those involved in education.

To better address these issues, it is necessary to establish counseling in schools, in order to be present in the here and now and to be secured for the future. The main representative of counseling in the school is proposed to be the educator themselves, who will operate under the discreet supervision of specialists, dialectically.

This book examines whether it is correct, purposeful, and feasible for educators to take on counseling responsibilities. It also investigates whether the provision of counseling skills by educators is necessary, and indeed imperative, for the educational work to be carried out more effectively and gradually limit the degradation or even shrinkage of the school's goals.

Furthermore, it explores who the potential recipients of the educator's counseling services may be, delineates the areas of their activity, and outlines the main qualifications that should characterize the educator as a counseling practitioner.

The book concludes with an exploration of the readiness to undertake counseling work by current educators, as well as by today's students in educational fields. Finally, relevant conclusions are drawn, as they emerge from the perspective of the program.
