Ticket to Ride: Europe is a complete, new game and does not require the original version. In addition to a new map, Ticket to Ride: Europe features brand new gameplay elements. Tunnels require you to pay extra cards to support them, Ferries require locomotive cards to be built, and your stations allow you to sacrifice some points to use an opponent's route to connect your own.
The game also includes larger format cards and train station markers.
