The Akai Professional LPK 25 MKII MIDI keyboard has 25 velocity-sensitive keys and a 10-octave range, covering 127 MIDI notes. The built-in arpeggiator has a range of 1–4 octaves and supports internal or external clock synchronisation. It connects to a computer via USB and is powered through the USB connection.

It can be used to play plugin instruments or compose in a DAW. It includes MPC Beats music production software, with thousands of drum samples and plugins.
