I had high expectations from this, especially because of the brand John Varvatos. I had never bought any other from the Artisan series before.
So, I blindly bought the Blu, and needing a refreshment for the summer, based on the described notes and ingredients it contains.
However, things got really strange. This fragrance, truly blue, with citrus and earthy notes (on paper), could have had a sweet, aquatic but strong, manly presence!
Unfortunately, it doesn't have it.
Somewhere along the way, you smell something old (!!) within the fragrance, from the very first notes. Like mold, mustiness, like old furniture and overall, the feeling that you are visiting an old house with a grandmother or a grandfather in the past. That's what it brings to my mind. An old, damp building - with something repellent on it, an aura from the past, discarded wood, a room that hasn't been ventilated for a long time.
I didn't enjoy it, unfortunately. I threw away the packaging box so I can't exchange it, and I'm left with the huge 125 ml bottle, which is possibly the only thing that has a unique design and texture.
That's it. Maybe I'm being unfair and all these notes have been intentionally included, in the philosophy of Artisan and the new fragrances.
I would say, though, don't buy it blindly if you haven't tried it somewhere first!

Σαν μούχλα, κλεισούρα, σαν παλιά έπιπλα και τέλος πάντων, η αίσθηση ότι επισκέπτεσαι ένα παλιό σπίτι σε μια γιαγιά ή έναν παππού στο παρελθόν. Αυτό μου φέρνει στο μυαλό. Ενα παλιό, υγρό κτίριο - με κάτι απωθητικό πάνω του, μια αύρα από παρελθόν, πεταμένα ξύλα, ένα δωμάτιο που έχει καιρό να αεριστεί.
