The representative democracy was born and established in the Greek city of the 7th and 6th century BC. Its appearance marks the entrance of the individual into the anthropocentric society.
Through the study of the organization of the state, the functioning of institutions, and the politics that were implemented, the presentation of the pre-classical political system is sought, as it evolved through the stages of representation. At the same time, the economic, social, and political change experienced by the society of the city-state is explored before it reached democracy and the completion of the anthropocentric society.
Based on a different approach and interpretation from that of modernity, regarding the functioning and nature of political systems, a multitude of questions arises...

What is the range of rights and freedoms of the individual in modern society? What kind of citizen is he? To what extent is it reasonable for a governing system to be identified with the democracy of the classical period? Does the identification of pre-representation with democracy overlook important elements, such as political responsibility and political freedom of the individual, which are absent today from the political process?
The above and other related issues are attempted to be answered by the book through a brief comparative approach of the nation-state with the city-state, through the proportional projections of the ancient representative system in the modern one.
