The behavior of the cat has certain characteristics that make it stand out from other domesticated animals. This animal has achieved a unique and successful compromise between the trust it has in its owner and its preservation of independence and limited sociability.
Humans, especially those living in apartment buildings, appreciate the affection, cleanliness, and ease of cohabitation with cats and often prefer them over other companion animals. A cat owner often shares a close relationship with their cat, but at the same time frequently has various questions about what they observe in its behavior.
However, answers to these questions have until now been hard to find in Greek literature. Thus, with this gap in mind, I present this concise work, which describes the abilities, communication methods, behavior, and training of the cat.
Moreover, it mentions several undesirable situations for humans that sometimes arise from cohabitation with cats, as well as ways to address them.
