Georges Dandin is the work that is the deepest, the darkest, concerning the discordant social coexistence. Dandin is the hero who confronts a satanic social machine that imposes the most unjust humiliations and ultimately leads to capitulation (. . .)

One of the most heartbreaking moments of this work is the moment when Dandin thinks he has the ability to break the boundaries of his circle and win Angelique's heart. It is a moment of perfect theater.

Angelique is outside the house. She apologizes with all her heart and, to avoid the wrath of her parents, proposes a deal to her husband. If he opens the door for her, she commits to giving him everything he has always desired from her. In one word, two lives will change - their lives.

In the silence that follows, two hearts are close to breaking. It is terrifying.
