Maya is in a hurry to make friends, learn all the letters, discover the world, travel, and grow up. Until then, however, she stays with her parents, her brother Kostas, and their dog Luka.
She tries to understand why adults often tell lies and why they get angry quickly and cool down slowly. She also often argues with her brother Kostas, but later, when they get bored playing alone, they become friends again.
Maya knows that although her brother doesn't want her to be seen in the schoolyard, he loves her deep down. Maya is old enough to understand that we don't tell anyone family secrets, like the secret of the Edge, which only she and her brother know.
It took 4 months for her to learn all the letters of the alphabet, while it only took one day for her to make her best friend. The most important thing Maya has learned so far is that school is first needed to make friends and then to learn letters.
