Professional 4K UX Series Camcorder
The AG-UX180 is the premium model in the 4K UX Professional Camcorder series, featuring a high-sensitivity 1" (actual size) MOS sensor and the industry's wide-angle zoom lens (20x to 24mm at the widest angle). With extensive focus assist functions, multiple recording formats in 4K and HD, as well as precise image adjustment functions, the highly affordable UX180 is the professional camcorder you've been waiting for to upgrade to 4K shooting.
High-Performance LEICA Dicomar 4K Lens
The AG-UX180 is one of the world's first 1" sensor cameras (with an integrated lens) that features 20x optical zoom. Combined with the industry's widest lens (24 mm), it ensures you capture the shot you need, near or far, with the ability to frame your shot from 24 mm (wide) to 480 mm (telephoto) in no more than 2 seconds. The i.Zoom function (HD mode only) increases the zoom capability to a maximum zoom of approximately 30x while maintaining high resolution. If needed, the digital zoom (2x, 5x, or 10x) offers you super-telephoto magnification equivalent to 300x zoom without significant light intensity drop.
4K Optical Image Stabilization
The use of a handheld camera, dealing with shooting conditions such as low-angle, high-angle, or zoom shots, which result in visible handshake, is inevitable. The UX180 is equipped with an advanced O.I.S. system that uses the measure of small spheres inside the camera to correct the stability of your image. This, combined with a 5-axis hybrid image stabilizer (Roll / Pitch / Yaw / X / Y), helps in detecting and correcting unwanted handshake.
Dual SD Card Slots
The AG-UX180 is equipped with two SD card slots, allowing options such as unlimited relay recording, simultaneous recording, background recording, and dual codec UHD/FHD recording. Dual codec recording enables simultaneous capture of UHD 30p and FHD or low bit rate FHD and FHD, which essentially produces main and offline/proxy footage. An efficient workflow can be achieved using the Sub Rec file for tasks such as previews, offline editing, and data transfers over the Internet.
ROP iPad App: Wireless Camera Function
The AG ROP app for iPad is available for free from the App Store. It allows wireless remote control of the AG-UX180, with the installation of a wireless module (optional AJ-WM50/AJ-WM30). In addition to many control functions, such as camera settings, image quality adjustment, REC start/stop, and menu setting, the AG ROP app allows control of the UX180's internal lens for remote operation of i.Zoom, zoom, and focus. It also displays a thumbnail view and a preview view, so sub-recording clips can be displayed as thumbnails and viewed on an iPad.
